This cake is beautiful and my inspiration for a cake I am doing this weekend. Just did a test design on parchment.
Would you offer any tips on removing and adding to the side of a round cake?
Thank you
Hi Stacy,
Are you using royal icing or buttercream transfers?
My royal icing transfers weren’t that big so they were pretty easy to remove from the wax paper/parchment.
This is what I’d do: I’d lay transfer in the palm of my hand and then I’d carefully peel off wax paper.
To attach these to the side of the cake you can use little buttercream. I prefer attaching them onto a chilled cake so when you use buttercream for the glue it sets
fairly quickly and keeps transfers from moving.
Thank you everyone.
Maysem, thank you for your kind words, I'm sure you'll make a beautiful cake. Making ruffles is fun. Good luck
