Octonauts: Dashi and Tweak Cake

Few weeks back I made a cake for our neighbor’s granddaughter Audrey. She turned 4. I wanted to make her a cake this year. I emailed her mom and got all the details on her favorite kid’s show. Once I learned she loves Dashi and Tweak Octonauts I got to work. I ended up on you tube, watching an episode. I’ve never even heard of Octonauts.
I wanted to incorporate patterns and décor from the Dashi’s and Tweak’s room into the cake design. In Dashi’s room, there was what appeared to be a wallpaper with  the sea shell pattern on it so I got to work. I made a simple sea shell stencil from a piece of paper and used my new airbrush to paint the pattern all around the bottom tier. Tweak had a tool wall and a wrench in his room, I put that on the cake as well.
I also made Dashi and Tweak cookies and you can learn how to make those in my video here.
