I made my first Barn Farm Cake. This was a such a fun cake to make, I really enjoyed working on it. I love how it came together with all the bright colors and cute little animals(my favorite are little pigs) As I learned at the delivery little boy turning 2 loves tractors(so glad I included one in the design!)
Customer had a buttercream preference over fondant and so I used delicious Vanilla Swiss Buttercream to frost the cake and then I used either marshmallow fondant alone or 1:1 marshmallow fondant : gumpaste to create little pigs, cows, tractor, fence, barn doors and windows, flowers, hay, and grass.
Below you’ll find few pictures from the process, I wish I had taken more individual pictures but as time was pressing I only had time for a few.
To make little animals I used a paste made of marshmallow fondant and gumpaste, in 1:1 ratio
