Lace Cookies with Gold Accents

It is a COOKIE CHALLENGE time over at Lila Loa. Once a month Georganne runs a cookie challenge, and though I missed on all the previous challenges, this month I decided not to let it slip through my fingers again. I printed the inspiration board and then I baked cookies.

Georganne created an inspiration board for us to get inspired and so I did. It actually wasn’t all that easy because I wanted to keep it simple, really simple. Simple is really hard for me to do.

Here is the first design I made. I combined 2 images together : lace from the gray pillow case and color and gold accent from the necklace. I also wanted to make it little extra special so I used a cutter that Georganne made for me couple years ago. Yes she did. She is pretty amazing that way.

I used a tutorial by SweetAmbs to make the lace design.

As you see I made 2 cookie designs. I also made Pretty Cookies with Stenciled Heart and Roses.

To make Lace Cookies with Gold Accents you need
Cookies
Gold Luster Dust
Alcohol to dilute luster dust ( I used lemon extract, you can use Everclear or Rose Decorator’s Spirit, more about how to use Luster Dust can be found here)
Small Painter’s Brush
Food Coloring – Turquoise
Toothpick or Stainless Steel Needle Tool
