Ingredients
Sour Cream Tartar Sauce
1/2 cupsour cream, light or full fat
3tbspfinely graded dill pickle (one medium dill pickle) (I use my homemade dill pickles or Polish Dill Pickles)
1tbspfinely chopped onion or shallot
1small pickled carrot (optional)(I can dill pickles with pieces of carrots and I use these carrots in this Sour Cream Tartar Sauce recipe, this ingredient is optional)
1/2tspDijon mustard
1/2 to 3/4tsphoney
1/2tspWorcestershire sauce
1tsplemon juice or dill pickle juice (optional)
1/8tspground black pepper
salt to taste
Instructions
Sour Cream Tartar Sauce
In a bowl finely grate pickle (I medium pickle, about 5 inches long) and pickled carrot(1tbsp-optional). Finely dice 1/4 of a small onion (about 1tbsp). Add finely diced onion to finely grated pickle and carrot. Stir. Then add sour cream (1/2 cup), dijon mustard (1/2tsp), Worcestershire sauce (1/2tsp), honey (1/2tsp to 3/4 tsp),black pepper (1/8tsp). Stir well. Season with salt. Taste. If you need to make sauce little more acidic add lemon juice or dill pickle juice (1tsp). Stir well. Chill for 10 minutes.
Don't be afraid to experiment. Add finely chopped parsley, dill.

CAN I USE LOW FAT SOUR CREAM?Yes, you can.I'M ALLERGIC TO HONEY CAN I USE SUGAR?Yes, use another sweetener instead.CAN I USE GREEK YOGURT INSTEAD OF SOUR CREAM?Yes you can use Greek yogurt.CAN I USE ANOTHER TYPE OF PICKLE?Sure. However be sure adjust salt in the recipe if using very salty pickles.
