Butterfly Flower Cookie Bouquet

Spring is here! It has been around for a little while but now it finally feels like it is here to stick around. It is not going anywhere. Trees are showing off their tiny leaves and many of them are covered with blooming flowers. Yesterday I noticed our Dogwood in front of the house is  budding and soon will bloom, for what ever short period of time that will be, it will be magical.

I have been itching to make these cookies since I saw Red Poppy Flower Bouquet by Marielle from De-Koekenbakkers.  Thanks for the inspiration Marielle.

I wanted to add butterflies to simply decorated flowers; I used wafer butterflies but you could also use Royal Icing Butterflies(tutorial), though they are little more fragile and time consuming to make, they would a be great substitute.

Arrange Cookies into a bouquet.
These would be  Perfect for Mother's day, Fairy Party or even  Spring Wedding.

To make these cookies you need

Wafer Butterflies from Incredibletoppers
Edible Pearls
Mini Silver Dragees from Kitchen Crafts
Pearl Spray
Accent Tweezers
Stainless Steel Need Tool  from The Baker's Kitchen
Lollipop Sticks from Bake it Pretty
Americolor Food Gel Colorings from The Cookie Cutter Shop
Sugar Cookie Recipe
Royal Icing Recipe
Flower Cutters from The Cookie Cutter Shop(about 2 inches  across- for the top flower, and 0.75 to 1inch across-for the base )
