Today I wanted share with you a an easy breakfast smoothie. You can enjoy it sitting down at a kitchen table or pour into a mug and take into the road on those busy mornings.
Cinnamon Oatmeal Smoothie(2 servings)
1 1/4 cup fat free milk
1tbl ground flax seeds
1/4cup plain Greek yogurt
1apple, cored and chopped
1/4cup frozen raspberries
1tbl dry egg whites
- In a small bowl combine oats, milk, flax seeds and yogurt. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, put the oat mixture into a blender, add chopped apple, raspberries, honey, cinnamon, dry egg whites and blend until almost smooth. Mixture will be frothy.
- Pour smoothie into 2 glasses and serve.
- I ended up saving one for later, just cover it with plastic wrap and enjoy when you come home from work later in the day. Just stir it and enjoy.
