Gladiola Cookies

I made these to brighten someone’s day.

As you see I decided to go with yellow colors, I used 4 shades of yellow to create the look.
Decision to use yellow was based on how yellow makes me feel, it reminds me of sunshine and you need a little bit of sunshine, especially when it’s raining in your world.

For the cookie, I used the Sugar Cookie Recipe, and I added 1 tbl of fresh orange zest.
Piped design was done using Royal Icing.
I also used a small brush to apply  some nectarine petal dust  and yellow luster dust  to enhance flowers.

For the packaging I used plain purple scrapbooking paper that I cut up into rectangles(first measure how wide your plastic bag is and then measure and cut, mine were about 4 1/8inch wide and 3inches long), folded in half and using decorative scissors I created a wavy edge. I handwritten “Peace and  Love”

Gladiolus symbolizes strength of character, faithfulness and honor. The Gladiolus flower signifies remembrance.
