Pencil Cookies
Some schools here in the States have already started their school year some will start next week. To celebrate Back To School week I made these super cute pencil cookies.
To make these cookies you need
Sugar Cookie Recipe or other recipe you like for the cut out cookies
Pencil Cookie Cutter or use alternative cutters(see the video below- look what I’ve used to make the pencil cookie shape)
Royal Icing
Americolors or Wilton Food Coloring: lemon yellow, gold yellow, pink, black, ivory
To make the yellow I mixed lemon yellow and gold yellow.
15 Second Consistency, light and dark yellow shade, light and dark gray shade, pink and ivory
Piping Consistency – dark gray
For the painting you will need
water or vodka, used to dilute food colorings
clean painter’s brush
paper towel, I use paper towel to remove excess liquid on the brush if needed
black and white food coloring
