DECORATED WEDDING COOKIES

BRIDAL COOKIE CUTTER

To make the wedding cookies I used my Cut-Out Sugar Cookie Recipe and this cuter set below. And I used delicious Fresh Lemon Royal Icing to decorate.

WEDDING BRIDE HEART COOKIES

Bridal Heart Cookies are really easy to make.

ROYAL ICING COLORS AND CONSISTENCIES :

  • Ivory – 15 second consistency
  • White – 15 second consistency – flood, piping consistency – details

DECORATING STEPS :

Though I don’t show this step in the picture you can use edible marker and draw the guide outline across the heart cookie.

With ivory royal icing flood the top section. Let it crust. Then with white royal icing (15sec) flood the bottom sections. Use a needle tool to distribute the icing evenly. Let crust well.

Next, with white royal icing (piping consistency) pipe lines on the dress. Lastly, pipe small dots on the corset’s edge.

GROOM HEART COOKIES

ROYAL ICING COLORS AND CONSISTENCIES :

  • White – 20 second consistency
  • Gray – 15 second, 20-25 sec. consistency
  • Light Green – 20 second consistency – use mint gel food color, or blend together yellow and green until you are happy with the shade of green

DECORATING STEPS :

First let’s make white shirt. Flood a triangle shape at the top of the heart. Let it crust. Then pipe a collar. Use a needle tool to accentuate points. Let crust again.

With light green (mint) pipe the tie in 2 steps. First make the knot, let it crust. After it’s crusted you can finish the tie. Again use a needle tool to distribute and shape the icing while wet. Use a cookie scrapper to clean up the edge as needed. Let it crust.

Flood remaining cookie with a gray royal icing, let crust well. With gray royal icing (20-25sec.) pipe the collar. Finish by piping buttons.

BRIDAL DRESS COOKIES

ROYAL ICING COLORS AND CONSISTENCIES :

  • White – 15 second, piping consistency
  • Peach – 20 second, piping consistency

DECORATING STEPS :

Using one dress cookies I created 3 different bridal dress cookies.

Start with flooding the V-shape top with white royal icing (15sec). Let it crust. Then flood the whole skirt with white icing(15sec). Let dry. Continue with outlining cookie with white icing (piping). Pipe lines and dots on the skirt with white icing (piping). Lastly, pipe a line with peach (piping) across the waist.

Flood the dress cookie with white icing (15sec). Let dry. Then pipe 2 lines across the skirt with white icing (piping). Decorate the bottom section of the skirt with piped lines using white and peach icing (piping consistency). Decorate top of the skirt with small piped flower outlines. and dost.

3rd bridal dress cookies is also very easy to make. Flood the whole cookie with white icing (15sec). Notice top of the dress is strapless. Let icing dry. Outline top and part of the skirt with white icing (piping consistency).

Decorate bottom section of the skirt with brushed embroidery design. Pipe a thicker line across the skirt. Then with a lightly damp food paint brush brush the icing towards the top of the skirt. Continues with piping more lines and brushing icing, until you come to the bottom of the dress. Let crust. Crusting will take about 20 minutes.

Lastly I piped simple roses. With peach icing (20sec) pipe rounds into the lower corner of the dress. Let crust. Then with a peach icing (piping) pipe a swirl line on top of the round.

WEDDING CAKE COOKIES

ROYAL ICING COLORS AND CONSISTENCIES :

  • White – 15 second, piping
  • Light Green, Dark Green – 15 second
  • Gray – 20, 25 second
  • Pre-made royal icing flower – use this tutorial for a reference how to make a Royal icing Flower

DECORATING STEPS :

Flood the middle section with white royal icing (15sec). Let crust. Then decorate the bottom layer. Pipe dark green, light green and white icing (all 3 – 15 sec). Using a needle tool marble icing, until you have a ombre design. Pipe a 3 layer with white icing (15sec). Let crust well.

Then with white icing (piping) pipe lines across the middle layer. And polka dots on the top layer. Attach a pre-made flower on the cake with little bit of royal icing.

Flood the stand with gray royal icing (25 second), smooth with a needle tool. Next, pipe 2 hearts on the top of the cake with gray icing (25sec). Let dry.

Paint the heart and bottom with a Silver Edible Paint.
